Our annual Ice Icebreaker Event takes place the day after the Nash Williams Banquet – Saturday, January 16. It will once again be held in the comfortable and professional confines of the Promega Center in Fitchburg. We are very excited to have Bob Linsenman as our keynote speaker. Based out of Mio, Michigan, Bob is a noted name in the world of fly fishing. He has authored numerous books on fly fishing in Michigan and is perhaps best known as co-author of Modern Streamers for Trophy Trout. Bob will be sharing his tactics and techniques for using big flies to catch big fish. He will also be demonstrating his streamer tying techniques. We will be serving up a fantastic lunch, and there will be many opportunities for door prizes and bucket raffle items (including a bamboo rod!). This year we've added a fun, educational event for kids, the Stream Explorers Corner, from 10 a.m. to noon. One kid under 10 gets in free to the Icebreaker with a paid parent’s admission. Register today for The Nash Williams Banquet!! The Banquet is a lovely evening of fine food and great conversation. This is a yearly event where many members invite their spouses or significant others. The details: Friday, January 15 Coliseum Bar (232 E Olin Ave, Madison) Drinks begin at 6 p.m. | Dinner is served at 7 p.m. Cost: $30 per person The food will be catered in. It’s not the usual bar menu! When you register, please indicate your choice of Prime Rib, Chicken Oscar or Crab Stuffed Lemon Sole. During the evening, there will be live music, Chapter awards will be presented to some very great people and Bob Linsenman, our Icebreaker speaker, will give a brief talk.
