Stream Workday — Saturday May 12, 2018

A little rain won’t slow us … this workday is ON.
We’d love for you to join our Stream Team this Saturday, May 12, 2018, as we work to improve Fryes Feeder Creek (Donald Park). See below for details!

When: 9am to 12 noon (Chapter Approved Sawyers please arrive at 8:30).

Where: Fryes Feeder Creek located at the north end of Donald Park, on the north side of Hwy. 92. Access is from Town Hall Rd. FryesFeeder flows through Donald Park and joins Deer Creek to form Mt. Vernon Creek. Here a map for this location.

What: Will be clearing willows and other woody invasives that are crowding out this stream.

Bring: Bring work gloves, sturdy shoes, and eye and ear protection. Work or muck boots, too, if you have them. Also loppers and hand saws; otherwise the chapter has equipment you can use. Also bring reusable water bottles that can be re-filled from our 5-gal water jug.

Parking: Park on the east side of Town Hall Rd.

Next Workday (Rescheduled March 24 workday) – Installing brush bundles at the Sarbacker Easement on the Sugar River, located just north of Paoli on Range Trail. Still coordinating dates with the DNR, but will probably be June 2 or June 9.
